Your privacy when using this website
This website gives general information about colorectal and general surgical conditions, and ways to contact the clinic, including a short enquiry form.
Information on this website
You can read every page without entering any personal details. The only place that asks for them is the enquiry form described below, and using it is optional. You can email the clinic instead.
This website uses two Google services. Google Analytics counts visits and shows how the site is used, such as which pages are read, so the clinic can improve it. The Google Ads tag measures whether the clinic’s Google adverts lead to enquiries. Both place small files (cookies) on your device. Neither is sent your name, phone number or message. Google does receive technical details that any website visit shares, such as your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages you view.
When you tap a WhatsApp link, the Google Ads tag tells Google about the tap. When an enquiry you send through the form reaches the clinic’s records, it tells Google that an enquiry was made. This lets the clinic see how many taps and enquiries its adverts produced.
Google also keeps lists of browsers in the clinic’s advertising account, built from visits to this website, including visits that ended in an enquiry. The clinic does not use those lists to show adverts to anyone. You can block or delete cookies in your browser’s settings, and Google explains how it uses information from websites that use its services on its own page.
The enquiry form
The WhatsApp links and buttons on this website open a short form. It asks for your name, a mobile number and, if you wish, a short message. These details are used to answer your enquiry and arrange an appointment.
When you send the form, your details go to the clinic’s enquiry records, which a service provider keeps for the clinic. The form also records the page you sent it from, the website or page that linked you to this site, and which advert, campaign link or AI assistant brought you here, if one did. The clinic uses this to understand how people find it.
If you arrived through an advert, a campaign link or an AI assistant, your browser keeps a note of that on your device, and it is sent only if you send the form within 90 days.
Sending the form then opens WhatsApp with your message filled in, and you choose whether to send it. The form does not ask for medical records.
Following a WhatsApp link
WhatsApp is a separate service, and WhatsApp’s own terms and privacy policy apply there. You reach it after you send the form, or if a link takes you straight to WhatsApp. A link does not send a message automatically.
On some treatment pages, a cash-estimate button opens the form with a question that asks for your insurer’s name and your plan’s name. This is collected only to work out your cash estimate.
Contact the clinic to ask how to provide medical records. Avoid including unnecessary sensitive information in an initial appointment enquiry.
Questions about personal information
For questions about information you have provided to the clinic, email the clinic at drdaniellee@colorectalclinic.com. Ask how to see or correct that information and whom to contact about privacy. You can also tell the clinic if you no longer agree to how your details are used.
General information on this website cannot replace a medical assessment. For urgent symptoms, seek urgent medical care rather than waiting for an online reply.
